Why D-Beta Glucans are the Warriors of the Immune System

I don’t know about you, but the health of my immune system has been on the top of my mind lately. There is a lot of fear out there about getting sick and not being able to recover from it. I’m here to ease your mind with exciting research I found about D-Beta Glucans and what they can do for your immune health.

What are D-Beta Glucans?

D-Beta Glucan is a sugar molecule found in the cell wall of whole grains, mushrooms, yeast, and sea vegetables. If you can not obtain them from natural food sources, there are also Beta Glucan supplements that you can take.

What are some insights about D-Beta Glucans and how they can help the energetic immune function?

  1. It can help balance out blood sugar levels. This jelly like substance hangs out in the small intestine which slows down nutrient and sugar absorption. This can be very beneficial for someone who suffers from insulin resistance because it prevents spiking of blood sugar.
  2. Introducing D-Beta Glucans for cancer patients can help give their immune system a gentle workout and strengthen its odds of fighting cancerous cells.
  3. Even if you are allergic to yeast, you can still safely take Beta Glucan as a supplement. When we are allergic to foods, it is usually the protein that our bodies are unable to digest, this does not contain enough protein for our bodies to have an allergic reaction to it.
  4. Between 20-50mg a day is recommended if you are fighting off an infection.

How can we incorporate more D-Beta Glucans into our diet and how can it help heal the energetic immune function?

First we want to focus on creating an alkalizing meal with organic plant based nutrients with small amounts of organic and humanely raised animal protein for the amino acid benefits. Thinking about this energetically, we would want to look towards the gold element in the Chinese five elements.

I found a wonderful recipe that incorporates maitake mushrooms which is known for it’s high Beta Glucans. To better heal the immune system, it’s best to combine with other nutrients that fall within the gold element. This meal is packed with Vitamin A, D, Zinc and even some Probotics. I would tweak this a little and add some cayenne powder to help stimulate the sinus and move the lymph tissue and partner it with Licorice tea to protect the adrenals while fighting off an infection.

One and a half cup of Oatmeal provides a good amount for fighting off infections.

Also, reishi, shaitake, and maitake mushrooms are known to contain therapeutic amounts of Beta Glucans.
